Ullrich, Blues slam Halos, 7-5

Grand slam helps San Luis Obispo improve to 21-5 overall

Sean Ullrich hit a grand slam to left-center field in the top of the first inning, and the San Luis Obispo Blues summer collegiate baseball team held on for a 7-5 road win over the Santa Paula Halos on Monday night.

Aaron Attaway hit a solo homer in the second inning as part of a 2-for-5 night for the Blues, who improved to 21-5 overall.

Ullrich and Daniel Garner added two hits each for San Luis Obispo.

Blues starter Corey Ray was the winning pitcher. He lasted 5 2⁄3 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and four walks with five strikeouts.

Both teams committed four errors.
