Stop, set an example

San Luis ObispoJune 24, 2013

Most weekdays, while on my morning walk, I see parents bonding with their children by accompanying them to school on bicycles. There they are in the fresh air, avoiding the consumption of fossil fuels and getting good exercise as they pedal along. So wholesome. Now if those seemingly conscientious parents would only set an example of good citizenship by stopping at stop signs, rather than sailing through, failing even to slow down. What are the children to learn from this blatant disregard for the law?
