Free Otter Trolley returns to Cambria for the summer

San Luis Obispo - The TribuneJune 21, 2013

The free Cambria Trolley is operating again for the summer. Four-day-a-week service began again May 25 and will continue through Labor Day, serving passengers May 25 through Labor Day weekend, the first weekend of September.

Passengers can board the trolley, operated by the San Luis Obispo County Regional Transit Authority, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. The trolley service has bus stops throughout town, including Moonstone Beach where otter signage marks stops.

The Cambria Chamber of Commerce helps fund this popular attraction to encourage residents and visitors take advantage of and enjoy the town's numerous fine restaurants, art galleries, shops and peaceful atmosphere, without the hassle of parking in multiple spots. Trolley donations are not required but do help offset operating costs and play a role in the trolley’s future.

The trolley is also convenient for RTA passengers traveling on Route 15 that connects Morro Bay to f\San Simeon and Hearst Castle.

Detailed schedules are available at slorta.org.
