Budget on agenda for monthly CCSD board meeting on Thursday

There’s to be a little déjà vu at the June 27 meeting of Cambria Community Services District directors as they revisit some items that weren’t completed during their May meeting, including the approximately $8.2 million operating budget for fiscal year 2013-2014, an easement agreement with the county for the Main Street Bridge replacement project and a presentation on the Cambria Tourism Board that was interrupted by technical difficulties.

The board also might consider the district’s policies on issuing intent-to-serve letters while a moratorium on new connections remains in effect, along with other items that range from convincing the county to change Cambria’s growth rate from zero and getting paramedic status for Cambria Fire Department to hiring a contractor to cut weeds and remove fire fuels from vacant properties near houses.

The meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St.
Among other items currently on the June 27 draft agenda are: Approve a 1.3 percent adjustment in the Fire Suppression Benefit Assessment; revise two salary rates; ordinance to add informal bidding procedures and resolution on uniform public construction-cost accounting procedures; and report on personnel matters and general manager authority.

A closed session following public session is expected to include the annual performance evaluations of General Manager Jerry Gruber and district Counsel Tim Carmel.
