Looking for another reason to wine and dine on the Central Coast this summer?

Two magazines recently published features showcasing gourmet grub from the region.

In Sunset magazine's June 2013 issue, the article "75 reasons to love the West” singles out several local food- and drink-related companies for praise, including PasoPort Wine Co. in Templeton and Firestone Walker Brewing Co. and Re:Find Distillery in Paso Robles.

Also mentioned are Brown Butter Cookie Co. in Cayucos and Morro Bay Oyster Co. in Morro Bay.

An article in the June 2013 issue of Cooking Light, “Food-Tripping USA: The 10 Best American Food Adventures,” mentions four San Luis Obispo County destinations under the heading “Central California Farm Stays.”

The magazine recommends staying at Windrose Farm in Paso Robles before heading downtown to dine at Artisan, or combining a stop at Rinconada Dairy in Santa Margarita with a meal at The Range.
