Election Day has arrived in San Luis Obispo.

Tuesday is the last day for registered voters to turn in their ballots to fill the vacant seat on the San Luis Obispo City Council. The three candidates are Paul Brown, Carlyn Christianson and Donald Hedrick.

Ballots delivered to City Hall at 990 Palm St. by 8 p.m. will be counted. Ballots can also be dropped off in the ballot box next to the utility payment boxes on the sidewalk in front of City Hall, at the Citys Clerk’s Office or at a special drive-up box in the City Hall parking lot on Mill Street.

As of June 14, 8,230 ballots — representing about 32 percent of the city’s 25,860 voters — had been accepted by the city clerk.
