Shaun Kelly

A former Cal Poly professor was sentenced to three years of probation last week for exposing himself in the university library.

Shaun Kelly, 51, had previously lost his job as an associate professor in the bioresource and agricultural engineering department after he was charged with indecent exposure. Two different women said they saw Kelly exposing and touching himself in the university library in 2012.

After his misdemeanor conviction, he will have to register as a sex offender while on probation, submit to search and seizures, cooperate in any counseling and education programs and complete a cognitive behavioral treatment program as directed by probation.
