Jones, Blues rally past Oaks

San Luis Obispo goes to 16-1 with 7-6 win over Conejo

Cody Jones went 3 for 5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI, helping the San Luis Obispo Blues summer collegiate baseball team rally for a 7-6 victory over the Conejo Oaks on Friday at Cal Lutheran.

Daniel Garner was 3 for 4 for San Luis Obispo, and Ryan Attaway drove in two runs.

The Blues (16-1) scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 7-6 lead.

San Luis Obispo reliever Grayson Long was the winning pitcher. He threw 4 2⁄3 innings, allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts. Blues closer Tyler Powell pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up the save.
