Indians move to .500 on Clark’s gem

North County goes to 5-5 with 9-3 home win over Bakersfield

Brett Clark pitched a complete game, and the North County Indians had four separate multi-run rallies in a 9-3 summer collegiate baseball victory over the Bakersfield Sound in Templeton on Tuesday.

Clark, a Palomar College product, struck out 12 and allowed three runs, one earned, on eight hits and one walk.

The Indians (5-5) scored two runs each in the first, third and seventh innings, and added a three-run rally in the fourth.

Former Atascadero High standout Bryce Cherry was 3 for 3, San Luis Obispo High product Sinjin Todd was 3 for 5, and Petter Lecce was 3 for 4 with a double for North County.
