An overturned big rig is blocking the southbound fast lane of Highway 101 north of San Luis Obispo near Reservoir Canyon.

CHP officers are on the scene of the accident, which happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, and tow trucks have been dispatched to the scene to start the process of getting the truck back on its wheels out of the highway, said Officer J.W. Townsen.

Caltrans is also on the scene alerting drivers to the accident as they come down the Cuesta Grade. It is unclear what caused the truck to go off the highway, Townsen said.
