Two young men were spotted near a Los Osos church after it was vandalized Sunday, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.

A witness told the Sheriff's Office that the men were seen in the area of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church right after the vandalism had occurred. One man was described as about 6 feet tall with a thin build and long, straight hair; the second man was 5 foot 10 inches tall with a thin build.

Seven stained-glass windows and three other windows at the church were broken by vandals around 4 a.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. The cost of the damage is estimated at $40,000.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is pursuing several leads in the case and has increased patrols in the area.
