A reception at the Cambria Center for the Arts Friday, June 7, features not one but two honored guests: featured artist Tish Rogers and author Michele Smith.

Rogers artwork will hang through June with the “In Depth Views” show in the gallery at the Old Grammar School. Smith will sign her latest book “The Saints of San Simeon.” Both are Cambria residents.

The reception runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 1350 Main St. Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome. There’s no admission fee.

Regular gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Rogers studied art at Marymount College and earned a credential to teach art at San Jose State. She especially enjoys painting landscapes and animals.

Smith’s “Saints” is about the stories of the saints depicted in the devotional collection at Hearst Castle. It describes the lives of the saints, their attributes and martyrdom.
