Two-car crash causes backup on Hwy. 101 in Santa Margarita

A two-car crash on southbound Highway 101 near Highway 58 in Santa Margarita backed up traffic Wednesday morning.

Traffic on southbound Highway 101 near Highway 58 in Santa Margarita is backed up as the California Highway Patrol investigates a two-car collision that happened around 7:45 a.m.

The vehicles involved in the accident had been cleared from the roadway as of 8:30 a.m., according to the CHP’s website. It was expected to take awhile for traffic to clear.

An ambulance was called, but the extent of injuries is unknown.
