Oliver, Blues top North County

Brandon Oliver was 3 for 4 with two singles, a double and two RBI in leading the San Luis Obispo Blues to a 6-1 summer collegiate baseball victory over the North County Indians on Saturday night at SLO Stadium.

The Blues (6-0) never trailed, scoring twice in the bottom of the first inning when Oliver doubled in Taylor Anderson and Leo Vargas.

Alex Tucker was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Blues, and Cuesta College’s Zach Domingues was 2 for 5 with an RBI.

San Luis Obispo’s Kyle Johnson earned the win, striking out four and allowing one hit in three innings. Drake Owenby closed it out by striking out four in two innings.

North County fell to 0-2.
