Fourteen Tuscan-style homes are under construction in Morro Bay at the corner of Atascadero Road and Ironwood Avenue.

Called Morro del Mar Village, the homes range in size from 1,291 square feet to 2,132 square feet, said Tom DeWitt, president of the Fresno-based company building the homes. There are seven different floor plans with up to three bedrooms, an attached two-car garage and balconies.

Prices begin at $500,000 for a two-bedroom model. Before development, the site contained an avocado orchard and a 1950s ranch house.

“The first model homes will be ready to show the public in late May, and buyers ready to place immediate reservation deposits could be in their villas before the end of the year,” said Bud Sturgill, vice president of construction for Morro del Mar Properties.
