Man wearing wig robs San Luis Obispo bank, police say

Update: San Luis Obispo police released more details about a robbery that happened Saturday afternoon, including a description of the suspect.

Police said a man in his late 20s to early 30s entered the Chase bank branch in the 400 block of Madonna Road wearing a wig, a long-sleeved shirt, a mesh baseball cap and sunglasses.

He passed a note to a teller demanding money and indicating he had a weapon, according to a news release from San Luis Obispo police. No weapon was seen during the incident.

He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said they received a call about the robbery about 2:25 p.m.

San Luis Obispo police are investigating a robbery that happened about 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chase bank branch in the 400 block of Madonna Road.

Officials at the scene said a man wearing a wig entered the bank and passed a note to a teller, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was shown.

The FBI is also investigating.
