Cuesta’s Hanley sixth in state high jump

The Cuesta College men’s track and field team is in 17th place through the first day of Friday’s competition at the CCCAA track and field state meet at the College of San Mateo.

Phillip Hanley was the Cougars’ top finisher of the day. He placed sixth after clearing 6 feet, 4 inches in the men’s high jump.

Patrick Clemons was the only other Cougars athlete to compete Friday. He placed ninth in the javelin at 181-6.

Through five events, Modesto Junior College leads the men’s team competition. 

No Cuesta women competed Friday.
