New furniture in at Creekside Inn, so the old items are going for a song

Desks, chairs, mattresses, and TVs for next to nothing? That’s what Creekside Inn is offering this Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at 2618 Main St.

Tim and Sheerin Hayden, owners of the inn, are refurbishing 18 of the 22 rooms, but don’t want to see the furniture wasted by sending it to the dump.

Headboards, cabinets and end tables are also on the block. Buyers must bring their own transportation for the furniture.

“We understand what people are going through right now,” Sheerin Hayen said. “We’ve had the love and support of the community and officially want to thank them from our hearts for all their referrals and support.”

Everything at the garage/parking lot sale, as the Hayden’s called it, is $20, or “best offer.” Part of the funds from the sale will go toward the Homeless Animal Rescue Team animal shelter next door to Creekside.
