AFS presents exchange student information night Wednesday

The local American Field Service chapter will present an information night and dessert social next week to discuss its programs, including its foreign exchange program.

Hayley Barrnes, a 2011 Coast Union High School graduate, will talk about her experiences as a foreign exchange student in Argentina. Other topics to be addressed include becoming an exchange student, hosting an exchange student and fundraising opportunities.

Attendees will also have to opportunity to meet Pattarapakorn “Rifle” Booncharoen, Coast’s current American Field Service student from Thailand.

The social is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in the school library at 2950 Santa Rosa Creek Road. For details, call Sharon Bisso at 995-1432 or email
