A special reception for the annual Allied Arts Association “Petals and Palettes Show” will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Cambria Arts Center at 1350 Main Street (the Old Grammar School).

There will be live music by the Central Coast Jazz Institute and refreshments. Proceeds from a $3 donation will help support Allied Arts programs. The artists, guests and the general public are encouraged to attend.

Flower arrangements created by the Cambria Garden Club will be paired with works of art. Artists were asked for an artistic piece in two or three dimensions that relates predominantly to flowers, plants or landscapes.

The show opens without flowers today, May 9, with flowers added on Friday, May 10. It continues from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 2.

For details on the exhibit, call Linda at 924-0921 or Jeanette at 927-1356, or go to www.artistsofcambria.com.
