The Pink Sox of Cambria reports it had a great time together this season, winning seven games of 12.

Their final game of the season was Saturday, May 4, at Coast Union High School where the girls played San Luis Obispo’s Purple People Eaters (PPEs).

In the third inning Pink Sox came back from 0-6 to tie 6-6. The PPEs then scored three and the Pink Sox scored two with the tying run on base. A pop fly was hit by the Pink Sox, which was caught, and the game ended with Pink Sox losing 8-9.

Gracie Adams pitched 4 innings, Karina Mendoza pitched the second inning.

Second-baseman Alyssa Drew made an out at home when she threw the ball to catcher Meigan who tagged the runner. Switching to third base, Meigan also caught a grounder and made a great throw to Meg at first base to get a player out at first.

Great sportsmanship and outstanding skills were demonstrated by all, and a great time was had.
