The Coast Union Broncos lost to the Dunn Earwigs in varsity tennis Monday (April 29), 12-6.

But on the plus side, the doubles team of Alan Hernandez and Daniel Gowdy won their match, 6-2, 6-0, and 6-1.

And the boy’s top seed, senior John McElgunn, won his singles set, 6-2, 6-1, and 6-2, which keeps McElgunn’s hopes alive for a possible CIF playoff opportunity.
