Reject Bush policies

Arroyo GrandeMay 1, 2013

In order to achieve respect both here and abroad, our government must strongly consider the discontinuance of the Bush administration’s policies regarding its so-called “War on Terror.”

The continued use of such methods to acquire information concerning possible terrorists — including torture and the use of armed drones to hunt and kill suspected terrorists in other countries — is despicable. This latter has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent men, women and children. Certainly all must be stopped.

These desperate acts have done little to protect us; they have, however, increased open hostility toward America. The tragedy in Boston could very well be an example of this belligerence.
