Prep Roundup: Arroyo Grande tops Atascadero in boys golf

Mitch Martin showed why he’s one of the best golfers in the county by posting a 2-under 70 at Chalk Mountain Golf Course to lead Arroyo Grande High boys gold team over Atascadero 389-408 on Monday. 

Cobe Williams shot a 79 for the Eagles, while Atascadero was led by Tristan Ioppini, who notched a 77, and Donnie Hendrix, who posted a 78. 

Lompoc boys golf downs Morro Bay

Lompoc routed the Morro Bay boys golf team 

232-283 at La Purisima Golf Course as Lompoc’s Devin Hale and Vijay Krishner earned co-medalist honors, both posting scores of 43 through nine holes. 

Robbie Donaldson shot a 44, and Noah Martinez had a 53 for Morro Bay.

Paso Robles edges Pioneer Valley 

Paso Robles squeaked out a 447-452 win over Pioneer Valley in boys golf at Blacklake Golf Course. 

The Bearcats  were led by co-medalist Jeremy Woodruff’s 87. Greg Potruch recorded an 88, and Ben Elisarraraz shot 89 for Paso Robles.

Matt Lima shot an 87 for the Panthers to share medalist honors.

Atascadero rolls to boys tennis victory

Atascadero’s doubles team of Jacob Pomi and Ross Shaefer won 6-4, 6-0, 6-1 to lead the Greyhounds to a 15-3 PAC 7 boys tennis win over St. Joseph in Atascadero.

Judson Hicks picked up two wins for the Greyhounds (8-11, 4-6) at No. 3 singles.
