A section of northbound Highway 101 at Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande will be fully closed for two nights beginning Monday, April 22.

The highway will be closed starting at 7 p.m. through Tuesday at 6 a.m., and again from Tuesday at 7 p.m. to Wednesday at 6 a.m., according to a news release from Caltrans.

Drivers heading north on the highway will be directed to take a detour at the northbound Traffic Way offramp and re-enter the freeway at the Grand Avenue onramp.

The work is part of a project to repair and repave a nine-mile section of the highway from the Los Berros Road undercrossing to the Pismo Creek Bridge, according to Caltrans.

The $6.7 million project started in 2011 and is expected to be completed this summer. The contractor is CalPortland Co., which has a division office in Santa Maria.
