Fundraising thanks

San Luis ObispoApril 21, 2013

Outside Now, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people of all ages to the natural world, held its annual Dare to Wear Green Gala and Silent Auction on March 23, at the Odd Fellows Hall in San Luis Obispo. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000, which in turn allows us to continue to offer local nature connection programs. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of donation items from individuals and businesses and by the dedication of our volunteers — genuine acknowledgement of the importance of the work Outside Now does.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to our corporate sponsors: New Frontiers Natural Foods Marketplace and Sage Eco-Landscaping; Doc Burnstein’s; all the folks who donated wine and food, and the amazing kitchen staff; the Gypsy All Stars band; and the countless volunteers — students, staff, board members, families, community members, and the most extraordinary auction crew ever! It’s an honor to live in a community that supports nature connection so enthusiastically.
