Nighttime loading

Thank you for your article on residents versus Viva Farms. We live in Trilogy and are nervous that Viva’s trucks will spill over and become a major problem for us, also.

What the article did not say is that the prime time for the loading and unloading of goods for redistribution occurs between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. with lights, noise, etc. The trucks come in all through the day, and then work starts at night.

We are not against nurseries. We are against distribution centers in the middle of housing. We think the supervisors should revise the guidelines for nurseries immediately. When Viva operated as a nursery, there was no problem. It is the latest activity that is creating havoc, and the county needs to work for “all the people.”

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
