Public records

Regarding The Tribune’s March 7 article on public records requests: I find it very disturbing that the California Public Records Act can be used to this extent for witch hunting.

The amount of time expended on these requests should have a limit — say, 10 hours maximum. A fee should be charged if more information is requested.

More than 80 hours at taxpayers’ expense for a request should not be acceptable.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
