Woman grabbed while walking near dorms at Cal Poly on Monday night

A woman narrowly escaped an assault on Cal Poly campus Monday night, according to police.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., a woman walking eastbound on North Perimeter Road near Sequioa hall was grabbed from behind by an unknown suspect and pulled into nearby bushes, according to a news release on the Cal Poly Police Department’s website.

The suspect did not say anything to the victim, who managed to escape.

The suspect is a described as a college-aged white male, 5’10” to 6’ tall. He was wearing a grey ‘hoodie’ and last seen running away from the scene.
