The Cal Poly women's tennis team swept the top three singles matches in their regular-season finale and got a victory from their No. 5 player to seal a win over the Highlanders after doubles matches were scratched in Riverside because of time constraints in a 4-2 win over UC Riverside on Sunday.

In order, Louise Oxnevad came back to take a victory over Jamie Raney 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1, Jen Cornea beat Taylor Raney in straight sets and Ané McPike rallied to top Kat Saltarelli 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Four of the six singles matches went to a third set, but Gabrielle Gatewood’s 6-3, 6-1 victory over Courtney Pattugalan kept UC Riverside from sweeping the bottom three singles matches.

The Mustangs (4-17, 2-7 Big West Conference) will play in the conference tournament in two weeks.
