Tigers pound out 15 hits in softball win over St. Joseph

The San Luis Obispo High softball team had 15 hits as it downed St. Joseph 13-2 on Friday.

Andrea Reynolds pitched seven innings, struck out 11, walked one and allowed four hits. She also went 2 for 4 with four RBI.

Madi Waiters went 2 for 5 with one run and an RBI, Lauren Guasparie went 2 for 4 with three runs, and Kim McCarty went 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI.

Hailey Rich also went 3 for 4 with three runs, and Erica Chandler 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBI for the Tigers (12-7, 2-3 PAC 7).

Paso Robles 8, Arroyo Grande 4

The Bearcats jumped all over the Eagles, scoring three runs in the top of the first before adding two more in the second.

Megan Clark was 2 for 4 with a double, one RBI and three runs, and Jenna Wookey was 2 for 4 with two doubles, four RBI and one run for the Bearcats (11-7, 4-1 PAC 7).

Righetti 6, Atascadero 0

Kaala Wood was 2 for 3 in the loss for the Greyhounds (8-7, 2-2 PAC 7).

Morro Bay 10, Santa Maria 0

Marissa Tabares struck out 11 in a two-hit shutout for the Pirates, who moved into a first-place tie with Nipomo in the LPL.

Michelle Cordova was 4 for 4 with two runs scored, and Carly Watt was 2 for 5 with three runs scored and two RBI for Morro Bay (7-10, 4-1 LPL).

Cabrillo 3, Nipomo 1, 8 innings

The Titans took a 1-0 lead after the first inning, but an unearned run in the third and a two-out, two-run double in the top of the eighth gave the Conquistadors the win in Nipomo.

Courtney Cuzick pitched all eight innings for the Titans (12-3, 4-1 LPL), scattering three hits and striking out 14. Cuzick also went 2 for 3 with a run, Gianna Abatti was 2 for 3 with a double, and Ashley Ruiz had a sacrifice fly in the first for Nipomo’s only RBI.

Templeton 7, Lompoc 1

Kiani Alba led the Eagles to the win, going 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs.

Ashley Stevens had a triple and two RBI for Templeton (5-10, 2-3 LPL), and Corinne Barto scattered seven hits and struck out six in the win.

Coast Union 23, Cuyama Valley 0, 5 innings

Janelle Bohey had a bases-clearing double and had five RBI in the Broncos’ shutout.

Remy Corbet had two RBI and three runs, and Sage Radecki had four RBI and three runs for Coast Union (10-4, 4-0 CVL).

Elie Magnuson struck out 12 for the Broncos.

Orcutt Academy 26, No. Co. Christian 1, 5 innings

The Crusaders scored in the first inning, but couldn’t top the Spartans.

Carly Miller loaded the bases in the first inning with a bunt single, and Elise Pedone brought home

Kari Loy with a grounder to second base to score the only run for North County Christian (0-10).
