Norcast Telecom has announced the company is experiencing a hardware malfunction causing intermittent voice calling issues affecting an unknown number of its 1,500 customers throughout the Central Coast.

Norcast Telecom CEO Michael Gayaldo said engineers will be working to replace the hardware by 7 p.m. Thursday, and that both voice and data customers will be affected during the transition.

Gayaldo said he was uncertain when the voice calling issues will be resolved, but is hopeful the system will be fully operational soon.
