Locked in a storage facility and other Atascadero emergencies

Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. The Tribune provides coverage of serious crimes every day on its news pages. Here is alook at some of the other, more unusual calls as found in recent police logs from Atascadero.

Everywhere a sign 5:22 p.m. April 1, Santa Lucia and San Andres roads

A motor home was parked between two no-parking signs.

Dropping cash 10:28 a.m. April 2, 905 El Camino Real

A man said he lost $640 in front of The Home Depot . He had already advised the business.

Delinquents 9:07 p.m. April 2, 6400 block of Ardilla Road

A group of juveniles reportedly drove by a home and threw a water balloon filled with marbles at a window. No damage was done. The same resident called back more than an hour later to say the juveniles threw more water balloons filled with marbles, and were also following her husband in a vehicle. Officers issued the three youths curfew citations and turned them over to their parents.

Rotten tomatoes 10:41 p.m. April 2, Atascadero Avenue

Four juveniles were hiding in bushes and throwing tomatoes at passing cars.

Locked in 8:41 p.m. April 3, 9200 El Camino Real

A resident said her son and his friend were locked behind the gates at a storage facility. The duo was going to leave the truck and trailer at the business and pick it up in the morning. She wanted it documented that two males were going to jump the fence to exit the property.

Livestock on the loose 3:30 p.m. April 6, El Camino Real

Two goats were running down El Camino Real.
