Cal Poly men's team in fourth place at Missouri golf tournament

Scott Patterson’s rounds of 72 and 69 led the Cal Poly men’s golf team to fourth place after two rounds at the COG Mizzou Intercollegiate tournament Monday at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbus, Mo.

Patterson is tied for fifth place with two other golfers at 141 on the 7,221-yard par-72 course. Mustang teammate Grant Martens also is in the top 20, finishing tied for 12th place.

The Mustangs carded a four-person 287 total in the morning round for a second-place tie with Washington State, and then posted a 295 in the afternoon round to slip into fourth place with a 582 total.

Host Missouri leads 12 teams in the field at 557, with the final round slated for Tuesday morning.
