Elijah Holt and Madison Jacobs earn fourth-place finishes at Arcadia meet

Elijah Holt and Madison Jacobs of the Arroyo Grande High track and field team led an impressive showing for the Eagles at the Arcadia Invitational on Saturday.

Holt placed fourth in the Boys Invitational 110 hurdles in 14.41 seconds, his second fastest time in that event.

Jacobs also placed fourth, throwing a season-best 151 feet, 0 inches in the Girls Invitational discus.
Joey Reeves added an eighth-place finish in the Boys Invitational pole vault for the Eagles, clearing 15-5.

For San Luis Obispo, William Ernst placed fifth in the Rising Star one-mile run with a time of 4:25.61.
Morro Bay’s Allie Sulaitis placed second after running the 800 in 2:16.48.

The Pirates set a school record in the sprint medley late Friday night, with Hannah Cary, Tess Volkov, Aly Voth and Sulaitis running in 4:17.36 for fifth place.
