Cuesta softball crushes Oxnard

The Cuesta College softball team totaled 15 hits and had two pitchers combine for five one-hit innings in an 18-0 win over Oxnard in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday.

Christina Corsaletti was 4 for 4 with an RBI and a run, and Kaitlyn Rinder was 2 for 4 with a run and four RBI, including a three-run home run that was part of a seven-run first inning for the Cougars.

Summer Best was 3 for 4 with three runs, and Kryn Masutani was 2 for 3 with a double, two RBI, three runs  and two stolen bases for Cuesta (15-17, 0-4 Western State Conference).

Celine Blanco got the start for the Cougars, giving up one hit and walking one in two shutout innings. Christina Corsaletti entered in relief  in the third, and picked up the win after three no-hit innings, walking two and striking out one.
