Children’s resources

CEO Children’s Resource NetworkApril 1, 2013

It was gratifying to receive a designer bouquet from The Tribune for our Outreach Apparel program at Pacific Beach High School.

First, I would like to mention that the correct name of our organization is Children’s Resource Network.

In addition to Outreach Apparel, The Children’s Resource Network has three other programs for disadvantaged children and at-risk youth. Those are:

• The Teens Closet.

• Traveling Children’s Closet.

• Our Sorting Facility.

The Teens Closet is a free clothing store for children who wear size 12 clothing and up and is run by the senior volunteers at the Arroyo Grande Care Center.

The Traveling Children’s Closet is a free mobile clothing store that travels throughout the Central Coast and is for all children ages newborn to teen sizes.

Our Sorting Facility is a classroom donated by Pacific Beach High School and the San Luis Coastal Unified School District.

We invite community service groups and student volunteers to join us in sorting donations for local children in need at this location.
