Morro Bay's rally falls short in softball loss to North Salinas

The Morro Bay High softball team (6-9) had the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the seventh, but a double play and a strikeout ended the threat in a 4-3 loss to North Salinas on Thursday.

Marissa Tabares was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Michelle Cordova was 2 for 4 with a run scored for Morro Bay.

Coastal Christian 15, Mission Prep 14; 6 innings

Krista Arndt went six innings, striking out seven in the loss for the Royals.

Mission Prep’s Taylor Pilg was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBI, and Kiana Harris was 3 for 4 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored.

Dolores Neal and had a triple and three RBI while her sister Taylor Neal was 2 for 3 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Royals.

Emily Capps was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI for Mission Prep (0-10).

According to Royals coach Kina Kratz, Coastal Christian called the game early because they had another game scheduled.
