Arroyo Grande sweeps Paso Robles at track meet

DeSean Scott swept all three boys jumping events to lead the Arroyo Grande High track and field team to a sweep of the Bearcats in Paso Robles on Thursday.

The Eagles boys team won 76-60, while the girls team won 107-25.

Scott won the long jump (19 feet, 53⁄4 inches), the high jump (5-10) and the triple jump (39-03⁄4), and Elijah Holt added a win in the 110 hurdles (14.4 seconds) for the Arroyo Grande boys (4-1).

For the Bearcats boys (0-3-1), Ben Nagengast won the shot put (46-9) and the discus (147-0) and Matt Mihelic won the 100 (11.6) and the 200 (23.0).

Madison Jacobs won the shot put (41-0) and the discus (146-10) for the Eagles girls (5-0).

The Paso Robles girls fall to 1-3 with the loss.

BOYS: Atascadero 81, St. Joseph 52; GIRLS: Atascadero 80, St. Joseph 56

Dominic Chance won the boys 110 hurdles (15.31) and the 300 hurdles (42.65) to lead the Greyhounds in a sweep of the visiting Knights.

Robbie Hixon added wins in the 200 (22.3) and the 400 (50.12) for the Atascadero boys (1-2-1).

For the Greyhound girls (2-2), Angelica Cusworth won the long jump (15-1) and the 300 hurdles (47.37), and Anaiis De Los Santos won the 100 (12.86) and the 200 (26.47),

BOYS: Santa Ynez 79, Nipomo 57; GIRLS: Nipomo 78, Santa Ynez 58

Cassie Dittenhoefer won the girls 1,600 (5:48.8) and the 3,200 (13:09.9) to lead the Titans girls to a fourth consecutive win to start the season.

Taylor Nevitt added wins in the discus (120-6) and the shot put (33-1) for Nipomo.

For the Titan boys (2-2), Kendrick Keszler won the long jump (19-8) and the high jump (6-0), and went 42-0 in winning the triple jump.
