Cambrian wins CNPA award

The Cambrian has won a first-or-second place for environmental reporting in 2012 in the annual California Newspaper Publisher Association’s Better Newspapers Contest.

Reporter Kathe Tanner wrote about issues surrounding a fuel break cut through part of Cambria’s pine forest. The exact first- or second-place results will be announced at CNPA’s awards lunch set for April 27 in Universal City. April.

The Cambrian also earned a Certificate of Achievement for Best Page Layout & Design (Tabloid) by Bert Etling. Certificates go to finalists in the top 10 percent of entrants.
