For the first time, a Peeps diorama contest is underway at the Cambria Library and San Luis Obispo City/County Library.

Entries, which must be created in a shoebox or boot box (one or two sides can be removed for easier viewing), are due by 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at 900 Main Street, Cambria, and 995 Palm St., San Luis Obispo.

Each Peep-able diorama must portray a book title and include at least two of the iconic, sugary Peeps Easter candies. The designer’s name, age and contact information should be attached to the underside of the box.

The contest is open to all ages. Library patrons are to cast votes to select the winners in three age brackets (kids, teens, adults) from April 2 to April 6.

For details, call 927-4336 or 781-5991.
