Moonstone Beach Drive: Putting in a new out-pipe

ktanner@thetribunenews.comMarch 27, 2013

A sewer-main valve under on Moonstone Beach Drive was replaced Tuesday, March 26, by crewmen from DeChance Construction of Arroyo Grande.

It replaces equipment the Cambria Community Services District says was damaged by a private contractor on March 8.

Temporary repairs near the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill kept the system stable in the interim, allowing the community’s treated wastewater to flow again from the treatment plant to a spray field off San Simeon Creek Road.

CCSD is working to get restitution for repairs estimated to cost about $25,000.
