Easter week services planned at Mission San Miguel

The Lions Club will hold their final Lenten Fish Fry this Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Community Building in the park (behind the Library).  They have had a great response to the dinners and appreciate all those who help with their projects this way.

Easter week services at Mission San Miguel: Holy Thursday, a bi-lingual mass with washing of the feet, will be held at 7 p.m.  Good Friday service in English will be at 12:15 p.m., in Spanish at 3 p.m. and a bi-lingual service will be held at 7 p.m.  Saturday at 8 p.m. the Easter Vigil Mass will begin the Easter season.  On Easter Sunday, an extra mass has been added at 9 a.m. to supplement the regular services at 7 and 11 a.m. in English and 6 p.m. in Spanish.  Call 467-2131 or go to http://www.missionsanmiguel.org for more information.

Lighthouse Community Church at 13th and L streets holds Sunday Service at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to celebrate Easter Sunday with the congregation. 

Mission San Antonio de Padua in Jolon will hold Mission Days on April 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They reenact life in mission days with demonstrations and tours of the museum and grounds. At 2 p.m. the New World Baroque choir will sing early mission music in the church.  The barbecue is $10 a plate.

Drive north on Highway 101, take the Jolon Road exit and turn left on Mission Road. Parking and admission is $10 per car.  This is the only one of the 21 California mission still in its original setting.
