Cuesta baseball team falls to Cypress

The Cuesta College baseball team lost to Cypress 9-4 on Tuesday.

The Cougars took an early 4-3 lead over the No. 3-ranked Chargers, but Cypress scored six unanswered runs to win in San Luis Obispo.

Alex Fagalde, who relieved Cuesta starter Robert Pettey, gave up three runs on five hits in 12⁄3 innings in the loss.

Spencer Ruggles was 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, and Zack Dominguez had an RBI single for the Cougars (10-13).
