Stenner Glen management is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever started a fire in building 12 on March 9.

Call 781-7830 if you have information.

Firefighters arrived at the apartment complex soon after the fire was reported to discover a third-floor blaze that had blown out windows and was making its way into the building's attic.

The fire displaced more than 30 students.

San Luis Obispo City Fire Captain/Paramedic Matt Lipson suffered bumps and bruises while fighting the fire.

Lipson, on his hands and knees, was advancing the hose line down the third floor hallway to fight the fire when the ceiling and roof collapsed and struck him in the head, Fire Chief Charlie Hines said. He is expected to make a full recovery.
