A second building at the corporate headquarters of software development company IQMS is shaping up in Paso Robles.

IQMS is investing nearly $5 million into the two-story, 30,000-square-foot structure. The building, designed by RRM Design Group of San Luis Obispo, doubles the company's square footage.

The foundation has been laid and the steel infrastructure is rising daily, said marketing director Daniele Fresca.

The project, which broke ground in November, is designed to match the architecture and feel of the current IQMS center of operations, which accommodates up to 100 employees.

The new building will house an additional 120 new employees that IQMS plans to hire over the next two years. The firm has already hired 20 employees this year.
