Cuesta softball team splits doubleheader with Hancock

The Cuesta College softball team split a doubleheader with Hancock on Thursday, losing 6-5 in the first game and winning 13-12 in the second game.

Cuesta’s Kryn Masutani and Celine Blanco each went 1 for 3 with a home run in the first game and Blanco (5-7) pitched a complete game for the loss.

Hancock’s Nathalia Powell hit two doubles and pitched a complete game for the win.

Christina Corsaletti was 3 for 4 with a home run for the Cougars in the second game. MacKenzie Brewster was 1 for 3 with a home run and Masutani was 3 for 5 with a double for Cuesta.

Courtney Bragg was 2 for 4 in both games for the Cougars.

Cuesta’s Victoria Roberts (5-5) pitched two innings to earn the win in the second game.
