Atascadero's David Ramirez sets school record in the 1,600

Ben Nagengast won the shot put, with a throw of 47 feet, 0 inches, and the discus (145-10) to lead the Paso Robles boys track and field team (1-2) to a 69-68 win over Atascadero on Thursday.

Matt Mihelic won the 100-meter dash (11.2 seconds) and the 200 (23.6).

David Ramirez set a school record for the Atascadero (0-3) boys team in the 1,600 (4:28). Dominic Chance won the 300 hurdles (42.1) and the long jump (19-2).

On the girls side, Atascadero won 69-57. The Greyhounds’ Angelica Cusworth won the 100 (12.4), the long jump (15-6) and the 300 hurdles (46.7). Sarah Stafford won the shot put (31-7) and the discus (101-6) for the Greyhounds (1-2).

Madison Moore won the 400 (1:01.0), and Ashley Davis won the 1,600 (5:25) for Paso Robles (1-2). Elli Bernal won the triple jump (31-01⁄2), and Michaela Howard won the 100 hurdles (17.0).

Boys: Arroyo Grande 71, San Luis Obispo 65; Girls: Arroyo Grande 88, San Luis Obispo 44

Sean St. Denis won the 400 (52.83) and the 200 (24.31) for the Eagles (3-1).

Connor Hall from the Tigers and Joey Reeves from the Eagles each cleared 15-6 in the pole vault, but Hall won with fewer misses. Josh Ernst won the 3,200 (9:54) for San Luis Obispo.

On the girls side, Alex Mero won the long jump (15-10) and high jump (5-4) for Arroyo Grande (4-0). Madison Jacobs won the shot put (41-10).

Ariel Becker won the 100 for San Luis Obispo (13.4).

Boys: Nipomo 75, Templeton 61; Nipomo 97, Templeton 39

On a windy day, Alex Hascal won the 1,600 (5:03) and the 800 (2:18) for the Titans (2-1).

Tyler Murphee won the 110 hurdles for Templeton (19.9) and the long jump (19-41⁄2).

Kelly Springford won the 400 (1:07.8) and the 200 (29.4).
