Published: March 21, 2013

An earlier version of this story gave the wrong name of Graham Pask's wife. Her name is Denise.

Graham Pask, a Morro Bay reserve fire engineer, died Thursday morning at age 45.

Pask died in his sleep, according to a Morro Bay news release. He had served as a reserve fire engineer since 1995 and also devoted many hours of public service in leadership roles in the Boy Scouts and Rotary.

Fire Chief Steve Knuckles met with members of the department to tell them of the loss. He said “in the past 17 years Graham’s drill attendance was 100 percent.”

Mayor Jamie Irons has directed that flags at Morro Bay public safety buildings be flown at half staff in Pask’s honor. He is survived by his wife, Denise, and three children.
