Andrew Nelson pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts to pick up the win as the Cuesta College baseball team defeated Ventura 10-1 in a Western State Conference matchup Tuesday. 

Spencer Ruggles was 2 for 5 with a RBI triple for the Cougars, and teammate Parker Hindle was 2 for 5 with a double. 

Scott Shields was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Cuesta (9-11, 3-4).

Kryn Masutani was 3 for 4 with a triple and a RBI for the Cougars as they defeated the Brahmas in Los Angeles.

Cuesta’s Christina Corsaletti was 3 for 4 with two RBI, and MacKenzie Brewster was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Celine Blanco (5-6) pitched a complete game for Cuesta (11-13, 5-1 WSC).
